Wasters
There are some people that I really begrudge devoting police resources to. One such group includes parents who can’t control their children & expect the police to go & collect them every time they refuse to come home.
Another is people who engage in drug dealing & then fail to pay their ‘bills’ & want police protection whenever their ‘business partners’ threaten to come round & blow their bollocks off with a sawn-off.
I’m sorry but there are some people who just shouldn’t be entitled to any kind of service at all. If you decide to break the laws of the land by involving yourself in buying & selling illegal drugs & then expect the police to protect you the moment things go pear-shaped, I think you should go to the very bottom of a very long list of people more deserving of a police response than you.
And that’s not even to get into the debate about the fact that you don’t work, don’t pay tax, cause untold misery on the rest of society & still expect a service?

What is a swanoff and how do I threaten somebody with it. It sounds a bit Russian.
Sorry.
I HATE picking up ‘mispers’ when the parents know where they are but can’t be arsed to go and get them……..

Boy, that’s a slippery slope.
And what follows after that? Do the drug dealers not get their knees put back together after their sawn-off wielding mates blow them apart?
And then what about the drunk who smashes his car into a tree, or the smoker needing heart surgery. Do they not qualify for equal medical attention?
What about the ill-equiped hill climber who wanders off up the mountains as the weather closes in? Does this irresponsible twit not deserve the same rescue services as everyone else? Perhaps we should find out if they’ve paid their taxes first before we launch the mountain rescue team.
Actually, that last bit is not a bad idea.

Roland, well spotted, I like to throw these things in to make sure my readers are paying attention. Now corrected in hopeless effort to avoid further embarrassment.
Biker,
No drug dealers get left around to bleed to death, serves them right.
The drunk who smashes into the tree clearly has an illness - alcoholism, so it’s not his fault, he gets treated.
The smoker gets treated because he’s not breaking the law, he just goes to the bottom of the waiting list behind people who don’t make themselves ill.
The hill climber gets rescued because responsible climbers don’t need to get rescued so don’t need the same level of rescue service as people who need it.
I think you simply say at what level of crime you give up your rights, so drug dealers, rapists & distraction burglars have no rights to any service, thieves & drunks have some rights & people who drop litter can have most of the rights as everyone else.
(actually I don’t believe any of this to be honest, just venting my spleen again)

200,
I’m glad to see you don’t believe it - for a second there I thought you were talking complete bollocks

This entry reminds me of a episode of the American TV show “Cops.” Basically, a copper was sent on a robbery call, only to show up and hear that the “victim” paid $20 for some crack cocaine that turned out to actually not be crack cocaine, and wanted her money back.

THE BEST………..is the drunken pillock who picks a fight with some poor innocent, belts him, and then gets an absolute pasting. Then he calls the Police cos he came off worse.
