He’s got some balls

Three burglars got a bit more than they bargained for when they broke into a house in Salford this week.

They were disturbed by 41-year-old Wayne O’Mahoney who woke when he heard his front door being smashed. He ran downstairs to see three masked men in the house. One of them grabbed the keys to O’Mahoney’s Seat Leon & tried to drive off in it. The burglary victim is a serving Lance Corporal with 103 Regiment Royal Artillery. He chased them from the house. One of them got into his car & was armed with a knife at the soldier.

L/Cpl O’Mahoney said: “Two of them ran out of the house but the third one managed to get the car keys. As soon as he got in the car he was waving this knife at me and I thought ‘there’s only one way to stop him.’ So I punched clean through the driver’s window and I just kept hitting him until he got out.”

“The only thing is, I was a little bit naked because I sleep in my birthday suit.”

All three managed to get away.

It is thought the one in the car may have a shoulder injury as a result of the broken window.

Let’s hope it’s nothing trivial.

It’s not all bad news

Another MP facing a stay at Her Majesty’s pleasure in the next few weeks.

Ex Labour minister, Elliott Morley, pleaded guilty to fraud today after being caught out last year fiddling his expenses. He had previously described claiming £32,000 illegally – part of which was for a mortgage that had already been paid off – as a ‘mistake’. He denied the charges & was due to be trialled next week before he changed his mind, presumably realising that his definition of ‘mistake’ & the rest of the country’s was somewhat different. (perhaps the court will take account of the bill he has run up to the taxpayer for pleading not guilty & forcing the prosecution to go to the expense of preparing a trial, eh?)

Morley is the most senior MP to be prosecuted over the expenses debacle. His largess is also the largest of the MPs who have so far been jailed. He will be sentenced in May & with any luck, will go the way of the others who have received a prison sentence.

Don’t you hate it when that happens?

Posted in The Job - General by 200

I’ve posted several times about the diminishing service to the public which involves the closing of police stations. One of the unintended consequences of closing a police station is that it becomes just another empty building at night.

Police in Lanarkshire woke up to the realities when one of their nicks got broken into this week. Burglars targeted the police station & made off with a booty of police uniforms & radios. The radios would have been useful until the time they were discovered missing at which point they can be remotely disabled, but they would add an air of authority when worn with the stolen uniforms, even if they weren’t working.

One wonders whether the local chief should have taken some crime prevention advice from his own staff in order to minimise the prospect of burglary.

If this is an example of the gene pool

This is a picture of 22-year-old Kelsey Donkin who has recently been charged with public disorder offences in relation to her behaviour near Newcastle Crown Court where she was attending to support a friend. Also attending the court at that time (March 2nd) was PC David Rathband, the officer who was shot twice at point-blank range, by murdering scum Raol Moat. Pc Rathband was blinded in the attack. He was attending the trial of two men accused of assisting Moat.

Donkin thought it would be jolly good fun to walk up behind the blind officer & shout ‘bang, bang’ & make gestures as if she had a gun. Oh how people must have laughed.

She is appearing at Newcastle Magistrates at the end of April.

Uneducated twat swears on telly

Posted in The Job - General by 200

I suspect this will get more national airtime than the murder of a police officer yesterday.

One of my favourite responses on the YouTube comments section is:

Yes we all swear. But personally I dont shout swearwords in my sons , wifes, strangers faces….get the point?

“Probably not because like so many idiots in the world most football fans dont have standards.

“The problem with Rooney is he is an uneducated twat, The problem with the FA is they dont have the balls to deal with him or any of the other overpaid dick heads that pass as footballers.

“I dont care how many aging prossies he does, but Id thank him to not bring such lang into my front room.

Officer down

Posted in The Job - General by 200

Thoughts tonight with the family, friends & colleagues of Constable Ronan Kerr of the Police service of Northern Ireland, who has been murdered by cowardly scum in Northern Ireland.

The 25-year-old officer was at the start of his career having just completed training. He got into his car outside his home in Omagh when a bomb detonated killing him.

PSNI Chief Constable, matt Baggott, said: “We have lost one of our brave and courageous police recruits, someone who joined this fine service simply to do good, joined to serve the community impartially. Tonight is one of the most sombre and saddest evenings of my service, tonight tragedy has returned to Omagh. I have no words to describe the awfulness of the events of this afternoon and my abhorrence and anger at this wasted life.”

Is is just me or does anyone else think the person filming the below incident was a complete prick who doesn’t actually know the law & should have been carted off to jail long before the film ended?
