I am at liberty to comment, as the subject is just a PC

I’ve been otherwise engaged today so haven;t seen any news programmes on the TV.

I understand that a police officer has been found not guilty of manslaughter, and that it’s all over the front pages of the national press.

I also heard that representatives of the IPCC and Metropolitan ACPO ranks have been speaking about the officer before a disciplinary investigation has been concluded. Something which they seem loathed to do when the subject is a senior police officer.

How strange.

Best comment so far is – Trial by jury 1 : Trial by media nil.

By Insp Gadget. Or did he pinch it from someone else. People that may have been guilty walk free from court every day because the standard of proof is “beyond reasonable doubt”. Doesn’t seem to be a problem except when a police officer is tried under the same system.

I don’t recall anybody suggesting that other accused should have all previous allegations against them given to the jury.

Apparently, deflating the tyre allows an amount of movement of the clamp giving access to the wheel nuts.
