I think we know where the prick is

Posted in Other Stuff by 200

If I wanted more evidence of my post 2 days ago about anti-police bigotry, I need look no further than this forum. I found them because they linked to one of my posts & came up in my blog stats.

If you can be arsed, check out the thread about Police & PCSOs interfering in photography/filming. Then check out the photograph used by forum administrator ‘Anonpedant‘ – and he has the cheek to call the police pricks?

A very poor choice of photo indeed!

Shame that there really are people who have such limited horizons…

    Oh well…

To be fair, they had a reasonable point. Why was the chap being prevented filming Oxford Street? Uphold the law by all means, but make sure what the law is before wading in like that.

    CNH,

I dont think reasonable points are “I can say with some authority that, by and large, they’re a bunch of useless twats”

“Do plods talk like that when they’re off duty as well?”

    “You’re right. I think they’re pricks.”

The original point is a fair one, and as it happens I discussed the very same video on my April 6th entry.
However, my point is that any reasonable points become lost when shrouded in general bigotry. How impressed would you be if you were told Hitler stroked his cat?

Nicking ideas from Mark Thomas ….

I would approach these individuals with my usual air of effortless social grace, able to mix in all circles etc… and point out that in London, especally the SW1 post code it is considered absolutley de rigeur to have your own policemen with you when filming in the street and if you can’t afford at least two, well, I’m afraid old chap we will be forced (through no fault of our own, and it pains us more than you) to point out the relevant sections of the Highways Acts etc and invite compliance, possibly through the means of the TSG.
