I’m not saying the exact figure as it may ID my force (me) but I know for a fact that there are at least two officers who do feature at all on the Police Memorial Site. Anyway its New Years Eve and not long till I finish work..

how many exactly, I’d have thought that everyone in your force ought to know the exact figure.

I get my details from the Police Memorial website, you can see the names of everyone listed this year on my post a week ago

Im not sure where you are getting your figures from, but in my force last year we lost quite a few. all on duty!

The death of anyone at work is a sad loss, but this is a police blog and to be brutal, I’m not gonna mention or list everyone who ever died at work.

So are the deaths of 50 construction workers over the same period. The thought of having a loved one in any job waving goodbye, off to just another day never to return, is a horror not confined to emergency services.
