Rumbled
It’s official. This blog is shite, it says so on the internet so it must be true.
Commenting on police blogs, PCSO Bloggs says, "After a while, though, you run out of material. You say your piece and then all that’s left is to comment on political news stories and post the odd YouTube video."
Oh dear, I commented on a political story this week AND posted a YouTube video, so it must be me she’s talking about!
And now, with this entry, I’ve gone & done another post which lacks material, is old & unoriginal… Wait a minute! It’s brand new, it’s all my own work & therefore must be original, things are looking up, perhaps it’s not me after all.
Mind you, I’ll give PCSO Bloggs one thing; it is very difficult coming up with something to post day in, day out, every bloody day for 7 months. 420 posts & counting (as opposed to PCSO Bloggs’ 79 posts.) So what I lack in quality I certainly make up for in quantity which is all that matters, according to my pie-eating tutor.
Maybe I’m just being a little sensitive & paranoid & it’s not me that the good PCSO is complaining about or maybe this blog really is shite.
It keeps me off the streets.
(or is that not what policing is about?)

Awww is 200 feeling all self-conscious!!!
Well don’t!!!
As above it’s a great blog, and in all honesty I actually enjoy the rants and the raves. It stops me from doing it and thus keeps the blood pressure down…How is yours?

Having been sentenced to several years of exile in a control room during my time, I really enjoy reading your blogs, sometimes aying to myself, “I’ve been there and done that.” or “I wish I’d thought of that.” Strange as it may seem, when you leave, you’ll find you will miss aspects of your job, especially the rapport with the guys and gals you work with. Keep blogging and even if you’ve nothing to say, it doesn’t matter. How long now?

Nothing wrong with your blog mate!! It’s a refreshing change from some of the other ‘police’ blogs, or should I say, ‘here’s whats wrong with sociey’ blogs that seem to have believed their own press.

Thanks for the link 200. I’ve actually posted hundreds of posts, and if you read my only post of 2006 you’ll see I deleted most of them due to being ‘found out’.
I think your blog is one of the best 200, it’s very high up on my blog roll, one under Gadgets blog.
I even sang your praise before here http://policecommunitysupportofficer.blogspot.com/2007/11/200weeks.html
For your brilliant post here

Titled ‘PCSOs are human too’.
I just think after a while, myself included, we forget to blog about our job, and become another political commentator, with our own little spin on it. This is fine of course, and peoples blogs are their own to do with as they see fit, but its just so much better to get a glimpse at what they do.
I still think you’re one of the best 200, even if I’m not in your good books.

PCSO Bloggs, no you’re not in my bad books. I’m grateful for the opportunity to create another post.
I guess there are a limited amount of topics available which is why I like to post a varied bunch of stuff.
My biggest regret with this job (apart from actually joining) is that I never wrote stuff down when it happened. I’ve forgotten 99% of the interesting stories.
Maybe time for a group hug, then!
