Special thoughts

Posted in The Job - General by 200

A Special Constable is in a critical condition after the police car in which he was a passenger was involved in a road traffic collision with a taxi in Basildon, Essex.

The police car was travelling to an emergency last night and had its blues and twos on. The cause of the crash has not been mentioned in the Independent today. The police driver & taxi driver also received treatment at hospital. The Special has been transferred to the Royal London hospital.

Thoughts with him with hopes he makes a full recovery. It’s bad enough being put at risk when you get paid, let alone when you do it for nothing.

The SC is listed as critical but stable, with multiple head and chest fractures
The PC who was driving and the taxi driver both had suspected broken pelvises.

Needless to say, Essex Police have handed everything over to IPCC already.

I hope all parties make a speedy recovery.

As an aside, if that happened up here, I suspect the Taxi driver would be killed as they never wear seat belts.
