Momentary scum

Posted in The Job - General by 200

A female student has been spared jail despite rioting during the tuition fees demonstrations in London last November.

Hanita Dadswell was seen throwing sticks and stones at police officers for at least 15 minutes. She was arrested and slipped her cuffs before spitting in the face of a police officer.

During interview she said she thought it was acceptable to throw projectiles at police officers because they had helmets to protect them.

I think I’d rather have someone throwing rocks at me than spitting in my face; I can’t think of  anything more disgusting than spitting at someone. It appalls me when I see someone gobbing in the street, fucking Neanderthals.

I’m not surprised she received a suspended sentence (six weeks’ worth), to be honest. I’d have been more surprised if she was sent to prison. Protecting police officers with adequate punishments has never really been important to goverments for many years.

Dadswell’s solicitor said: “She is utterly remorseful and bewildered by her own behaviour.” I think I probably would be if I got caught, too.

She added: ”She is a young woman with a very bright future.” Not unless her future is in professional football, she isn’t.

I’m afraid that those who sit in Judgement have absolutely nil understanding of the wishes of the majority!

Maybe it’s time for Judges to be placed in the front rank at several riots, to get a taste of reality.

So, to get this story straight, a student, presumably a University student, felt it was in order to throw objects at Police because they had helmets to protect them. Her defence brief (presumably she was on legal aid so her fees would be paid for by us) is quoted as saying that she is a young woman with a bright future! With a suspended sentence she can continue on her university course (paid for by us) with a higher level of street cred amongst her fellow students. It makes me wonder which university she goes to; what the hell they teach there and what future is there in this country if it’s acceptable for a future Captain of Industry to ‘think’ this way. A more acceptable punishment would be for her Uni to throw her out; she be denied a job at Primark because of her criminal record; the Police officer she gobbed at demand that Aids and Hepatitis tests be taken of this higher educated moron and she be sued for damages as a result of the assault. Of course, that won’t happen. You’ll probably see her on TV in 5 years or so as a NuLab backbencher!

Plodnomore is absolutely correct, and on top of that, as she is a criminal, she has ‘human rights’ the Police persons she assaulted obviously do not.

WTF!are the police not agents of the crown , an assault on the police being an assault upon the queen herelf.I pray for the day one of these scumbags gets what they are actually due , the day a fiscal or magistrate/judge gets a good sized greeny in the eye and then lets them walk off clicking heels into the sunset, imagine the indignation but the dawn of realisation as they wipe the spittal from there armani suit ……walk a mile in our shoes , doubt if they could get to the end of the street!

I’m not sorry that she’s missed jail purely on the grounds that there are far worse people than her not going to jail and I’d rather the jail place went to someone worse. That being said I find it bizarre that she’s been given such a light sentence for affray – according to http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23963111-student-spared-jail-after-hurling-stones-at-police.do her sentence is suspended for a year and she has a three month curfew (12 weeks?? Why bother?). It’s fair enough that they take into account the devastating effect a criminal record can have on a young woman of good character but it still seems lenient for affray.

It involved weapons…it went on for FIFTEEN MINUTES and only stopped because she was arrested (fifteen minutes isn’t a moment of madness, it’s a consistent pattern of behaviour)….she was attempting to assault officers…she successfully assaulted officers…there’s the effect on the crowd to consider…it’s odd that she didn’t even get a longer curfew or SOMETHING.
