Double speak?

Posted in The Job - General by 200

The Thin Blue Line blog has an interesting post about the new police pay & conditions proposals. The email us police bloggers when they have a new article of note, but seem to have out done themselves today; I’m not sure why but I’ve had more emails about their post than all the other spam I normally get put together.

Anyway, it seems to have worked ‘cos I’m posting a link to the article which you can go & read for yourself.

    Thanks for the link 200.

As I was preparing the link to the Winsor Review Ready Reckoner, I received a tweet from a more active Fed Rep alerting me to the General Secretary’s views about the review process and his e mails that were circulated to all JBB Secretaries on Friday and today. I was asked if I would circulate.

Just hope the guys get the fair deal they deserve.

    All the best

The calculator provided by the Winsor Whitewash team is as flawed as it is clumsy propaganda.

Despite asking me whether I work in London, it doesn’t add my London allowance so doesn’t show the correct salary.

It makes patronising (and dubious) comments in its explanations of the calculations, stating that the recommendations have safeguarded jobs.

Most tellingly, it leaves out the £4000 quid I’ll lose to frozen pay-increments over the 2 years, not exactly small potatoes.

Just another transparent, flimsy and patronising attempt to deceive us – no doubt following advice from a PR guru paid 10 times my yearly salary.
