OK, you can drive today
One can just imagine the scrabble for car keys at the start of shifts in the Central Motorway Police Group, famed via their alter-ego BBC One’s Traffic Cops.
Their latest toy is the below Lotus Evora, a £50,000 168mph sports car.

Sadly for the guys & gals who patrol the motorways of the Midlands, the vehicle is only on a two-week loan.
You wouldn’t want to be the one who booked annual leave this January.

Similar in function to the Daimler Darts used by MetPol in the 1960s to combat speeding by bikers – worked then, would probably work now.

Assuming they get filled with the right fuel…….
Mind you, looking at the ‘spec for the cars I doubt they are up to the job…..
Composite body panels mean you cannot park it anywhere near anyone with a vindictive streak….and the alloy front chassis connected to the alloy central section means it will be very repairable, and just as easily damaged.
Chasing a 4WD would be a bit silly…..
