No Interest

Posted in Not the Job by 200

I have absolutely no idea where I was or what I was doing when John Lennon died.

And neither do I care.

That is all.

I was still at school, I know that much. More my parents’ generation of musicians, to be honest.

What gets me is all the other losers? one has to suffer (Now if someone shot the lot. I would not lose any sleep over it) in-between the news bulletins.

Who can recall the American reporter, who had obviously never done any research into his subject, interviewing Paul McCartney and asked, “What would it take to get the Beatles back together?” McCartney didn’t reply but the correct answer would probably have been “Two bullets and a heart attack.” I also understand that Liverpool Airport was renamed ‘John Lennon Airport’ as that was the first place he headed for once he started making money!

Hooray for Weeks. I was beginning to think that I was the only one thinking this and that to voice it would be sacrilege. I havent got a clue what I was doing either. Lennon……just a musician at the end of the day and whenever I hear that durge “Imagine” I have to switch the radio off……awful.
