Its the PITs

Posted in The Job - General by 200

I’ve seen this video before but not set to the Dukes of Hazzard theme!

There’s some textbook PIT maneuvers but I think the bandit is supposed to stop.

Sorry that this is off topic, but why is it that I STILL haven’t got a clue about how to fill the activity sampling thing in correctly. I have given up this year and am now 3 days out already.

What code is it for having a cup of tea whilst talking about a scroat I locked up last week who sounds similar to a collegues new job suspect description? Is it waiting time as I wait for my partner who is in the loo, refreshment time as I am having a drink, incident based as I’m talking about a crime or not because its not my crime? I know I’m in the station and so can tick that box. Do I need to fill in 3 sheets if I start double crewed then lose my partner for an hour while he scene guards and then get him back again?

Also when I’m bimbling about looking for more scroats, is that non-incident based as nothing may have happened or incident based because I’m looking for people commiting incidents? When I stop search someone for items for going equiped do I need to specify if its for burglary, theft or damage in the incident type code box? I’m sure last year we were told everything except briefing had to be incident related as we lost money otherwise but this year we got nothing other than a big pack of forms with weird boxes on and a huge variety of unheard of squads I could declare myself part of. I doubt anyone would notice.

I give in with it all. I think next year I’m going off sick for 2 weeks!! As for this year, I may just hide behind the fridge and hope they don’t catch me at all.

Sorry if this makes no sense. End of night shift and had too many redbulls to sleep!

You’re right, it is completely off topic.

I can remember doing these forms too, but I’m glad to say that we don’t do them in the control room, yet another reason to be thankful for my new job!
