And so it goes

Posted in Blogging by 200

Last week I passed the milestone of posting a blog entry every single day for 2.5 years. I’m well on my way to completing 5 years of blogging. I was reading only yesterday of another police blogger who is giving up the blogging lark. He’d only been going since October & had 20 entries.

Inspector Gadget posts today about an official police blogger down Avon & Somerset way who is also giving up. Some people just have no stamina or committment.

I don’t suppose, when I started back in August 2005, I gave any thought about how long I’d do it for. After the last 2.5 years it has become a habit.  Most of my posts are done on the couch at home some time after the Ten o’ Clock News & before midnight. I still don’t know anyone who knows I blog, at least if they do, they’ve never mentioned it to me, & that includes Mrs Weeks & the Weeklings.

I sometimes wonder whether I’m doing it out of habit or whether I still  enjoy it. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell the two apart.

I love the fact that not even your family know what you do every day. How have you managed not to tell them that you’re one of the most successful police bloggers in the country and how haven’t they noticed??! Its taken all I have not to write all over here when you’ve talked about a job my team and I have dealt with. However you do it it works, so keep it up!

I find it more addictive than crack.

Not that I’ve ever tried crack.

Or maybe Mrs Weeks is well aware of what you’re doing on the laptop, but is letting you keep your secret? Let’s face it, you could be doing much, much worse!

As for the Weeklings, if they’re anything like my kids, provided you don’t do anything at all in front of their friends (even breathing is a bit suspect) they most likely don’t care.

    200. Congrats on the milestone, keep it up, good news on Dezaei and also for SGT Smellie, common sense prevailing there for once.

Surely Mrs Weeks recognises you from your photograph at the top of the blog (or is she in the CID???) Only a joke, honest…..

I noticed that I have been going two years this month. If I didn’t enjoy it I wouldn’t do it. Sometimes I wonder if I have become obsessed but I don’t think so – I only write when I have something that I am interested in to write about.

Yours is one of the better ones. Keep up the good work!!

Does Mrs 200 think you are looking at pr0n?
