Fair or Foul, you decide

The following clip was on TV today. The reporter said the local police chief wasn’t amused.

It’s interesting to see that most of the comments on YouTube are actually very supportive, for a change.

Good improvisation and I liked the character – the latter in evidence as this officer sticks with it, to ride it all the way.

As a taxpayer i`m quite happy to see this. It gives off a friendly less stuffy image of the police, and taking a couple of minutes off isn’t going to do any harm. I`m sure if there was an emergency they’d would stop straight away.

I think the chief has damaged their PR by reprimanding the officers, it’s amazing how they seemingly always manage to get it wrong. I`d rather they were tougher on criminals than the officers.

I thought the video was great – as a taxpayer/MOP, it’s good to see the police showing a more human side!

Hopefully (although it may be slim hope) the Super’s bollocking went on the lines of “OK lads, you had some fun but if the red-tops get hold of this, they’ll crucify us, so I have to be seen to reprimand you. Also, you didn’t invite me you rotten buggers!”

A bit like this occasion. :D

I thought it was great! So refreshing to see the Police having a bit of fun and I’d consider it a positive story, especially compared to all the “Police are rubbish/evil” ones you get.

As long as the “reprimand” was as Graeme stated, that’s cool. I don’t think they should be disciplined any further than a “fun, but be carefeul about it” type thing.

I remember doing exactly the same thing many years ago at the back of the nick on a tin tray borrowed from the canteen. We were caught by a much feared sergeant and as a result was made to clear the snow from the front of the police station. Possibly better than a Superintendent’s bollocking!

People who complain about this, live in a very dull, grey world.

    Very naughty.
No risk assessment, improper use of equipment.
I doubt that a method statement had been devised for the operation either.
    Was there a trained first-aider available ?
No protective headgear, and no gloves.
    Shouldn’t be allowed !
